Ideation in food and nutrition education, or – changing the way we think about, talk about and choose food is Amanda Archibald’s vision and mission. The desire to change how we present food and nutrition ideas to Americans drives Amanda to create inspirational learning experiences and tools that are literally changing the food choice landscape.

Amanda is uniquely positioned among nutrition professionals. With extensive experience as an analyst, writer and educator, she is able to relate to conversations throughout the supply chain versus a conversation purely about nutrients. She is as comfortable walking a field with a grower as she is working with marketing solutions for a produce manager. She can appreciate the complexities of product ideation, formulation and marketing, and at the same time the challenges of sourcing seasonally-sensitive micro-greens for tomorrow’s menu. Amanda brings an understanding of the business marketplace together with an appreciation of the consumer mindset around food. Equally important, she relates to, and works closely with the vast number of professionals whose challenging work involves helping Americans make meaningful and healthful food choices.

As a consultant, Amanda contributes vision and beyond the horizon ideas about food and food education. She surrounds herself daily with some of America’s most passionate and gifted men and women in food and beverage and counts on them for motivation, insights and passion. Her focus is not on today’s nutrient bits or tomorrow’s 30 second sound bytes, rather on where America is going in the future of food and how she can help organizations, and ultimately the consumer, embrace that future.
