Putting Pain on Pause

Alleviating Chronic Pain through the Food you Eat and the Life you Choose

With James N. Dillard, M.D., D.C., C.Ac – author of Chronic Pain Solution., and Culinary Nutritionist, Stefanie Sacks, M.S, (Nutrition).

Hosted by Amanda Archibald, R.D. with Kathleen Clancy Jefferson, Ph.D. and guest chefs from the region.

Can you alleviate any pain through the food you choose? Every day, millions of Americans wake up in pain and live with pain. Many are treated with a panacea of medication, but what about treatment through nutrients and food?  In this retreat-workshop, Dr Dillard will shed light on the principle causes of pain in common conditions and the therapies that are used for treatment. He will then introduce the scientific basis for integrating specific nutrients and foods into the diet as part of a comprehensive strategy to manage pain relief.

You’ll then translate the scientific facts in the kitchen!  Through hands on work with food in the kitchen, you will learn how to plan, shop for and prepare a plethora of health-conducive foods that nourish your body and can become part of a comprehensive approach to pain management and pain relief.

This workshop includes comprehensive work in food and culinary education, developing a personal nutrition pathway to health and developing a personal roadmap for life.
